BUY FROM THE PRODUCER TO THE CONSUMER
The farm Raffaelli cultivates and sells 11 apple varieties and 2 cherry varieties. Moreover, it offers processed products such as tasty apple juice and jam. In the store you can also find local and seasonal products, such as vegetables of Val di Gresta, chestnuts of Castione, oil from Garda and wine. The store is open from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 7 pm. Apple varieties grown are Royal Gala, Elstar, Stark, Delicious, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Fuji, Gold Rush, Renetta of Canada, Jonagold, Empire, Sansa while cherry varieties are Regina and Kordia.
FEW DREAMS AND A LOT OF WORK. THIS IS OUR HISTORY.
When Marco Raffaelli and his wife arrived in Loppio in 1964 they found a declining farm. They decided to buy and completely renew it. At the beginning they cultivated grapes and, while waiting for their growth, they cultivated between the rows annual crops such as celery, carrots, cabbage and tobacco. After some years of hard work Marco thought that the real vocation of his farm was the orchard growing. Therefore, in the ‘80s he started apple cultivation and cold rooms were created for their preservation. To do all these activities water was necessary and Marco, against all odds, found a water table and then he created the first shaft of the zone. Since 2004 the farm has been also an agricamping and Paolo runs it with the help of his family.
